Since 2001, Kids Day has been an important part of the National Veterans Wheelchair Games. Each year, Kids Day provides local youth a wonderful introduction to the world of adaptive sports and recreation, along with the opportunity to interact with skilled and inspirational veteran athletes competing in the annual Games.
This year, kids with physical and developmental disabilities, are encouraged to attend this unique event. The day includes an introduction to wheelchair sports and several interactive activities guided by the athletes, followed by a special closing ceremony complete with Kids Day medals for the participating children.
