Health Insurance and Cancer Screening Among Women Advance Data 254. This report shows how health insurance is an important factor associated with preventive health care. The purpose of the report is to provide national data on the relationship between type of health insurance coverage and recent use of mammography, clinical breast examinations (CBEs), and Pap tests by women 40 years of age and over. The objectives are to compare use of screening between women with private coverage, public coverage, and the uninsured; and between women with different types of health insurance coverage.
