TVA To Redeem Debt Securities

TVA announced today that on March 28, 2008, it will redeem four securities from its electronotes(R) series.

TVA will redeem all of its 2006 5.125-percent electronotes(R) due April 15, 2010. The securities are identified by the CUSIP number 88059TDP3. Approximately $21 million of the 88059TDP3 electronotes(R) are currently outstanding.

TVA will redeem all of its 2006 5.25-percent electronotes(R) due May 15, 2011. The securities are identified by the CUSIP number 88059TDQ1. Approximately $6 million of the 88059TDQ1 electronotes(R) are currently outstanding.

TVA will redeem all of its 2006 5.25-percent electronotes(R) due June 15, 2011. The securities are identified by the CUSIP number 88059TDR9. Approximately $9 million of the 88059TDR9 electronotes(R) are currently outstanding.

TVA will redeem all of its 2007 5.25-percent electronotes(R) due February 15, 2014. The securities are identified by the CUSIP number 88059TDX6. Approximately $7 million of the 88059TDX6 electronotes(R) are currently outstanding.

Each of the securities will be redeemed at 100 percent of par value. The redemption price and any accrued interest will be paid to eligible holders through The Depository Trust Company.

TVA’s electronotes(R) program offers securities for retail investors in a variety of structures and maturities. As of Dec. 31, TVA had 71 issues of electronotes(R) outstanding.
