He received his B.S. degree in Physics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, and his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from the University of California at Irvine, under the guidance of professor Wilson Ho. During his Ph.D. work, he used Scanning Tunneling Microscopy methods to study physical processes stimulated by electron transport through individual organic molecules. At CFN, his research is focused on characterization of intrinsic electronic and optoelectronic properties of novel nanoscale materials.
