Site MapAccessibilityThe USDA Forest Service, Pacific Northwest Region, Gifford Pinchot National Forest is committed to making its web sites accessible to all customers and employees. All of the Forest's web sites are undergoing review and redesign as necessary to ensure that they meet or exceed the requirements of Section 508 Amendments of the Rehabilitation Act of 1998. This means that the sites should present information in a way that can be accessed regardless of any hardware, software, or physical limitations. The Section 508 standards apply to people who may be experiencing visual, hearing, or cognitive disabilities. Examples of the changes that must be made include: any web site containing graphic images must also include an explanation of those images and alternative information will be provided for inaccessible document formats. Many of our web sites currently meet the Section 508 accessibility standards. Furthermore, the Gifford Pinchot National Forest continues to work on making all its web sites accessible. Thank you for your patience through this redesign process.
