The Economics & Policy Analysis website is sponsored by the Financial & Economic Analysis and Policy & Economic Analysis units of the Financial Services Branch. Combined, these units form a group of professionals in transportation finance and economics.

Our areas of concentration include:

· Long-Range Transportation Finance
· Highway Cost Allocation Studies
· Economic Impact Analyses
· Legislative Impact Assessments
· Transportation and the Connection with the Economy
· State Transportation-Related Tax Studies
· Analytical Support for Policy Development and Planning Processes
· Truck Size and Weight Analyses
· Alternative Transportation Funding Approaches
· Vehicle-Miles-of-Travel [VMT] Analyses
· Other Special Studies
The units also play a lead role in the implementation and administration of two funding mechanisms for the Agency:
· Immediate Opportunity Fund (in conjunction with the Oregon Economic and
Community Development Department)
· Transportation Operating Fund
