DBEDT to Offer Additional Hands-on Census Workshops

Honolulu--Responding to continuing requests, the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT) will host repeat workshops for the popular, Census Solutions for Your Projects, on January 14 and 15, 2004.
The free, hands-on computer workshops will show users how to obtain a variety of valuable business and other data from the Census Bureau’s new website.
Cosponsored by DBEDT and the U.S. Census Bureau’s L.A. Regional Office, the workshops will be held in downtown Honolulu at the Keoni Ana Building, corner of Alakea and South Beretania Streets.
Veteran Census Bureau Information Specialist, Mr. Jerry Wong will lead participants through the process of accessing Hawaii data online. Data tabulated by the Hawaii State Data Center for islands and census tracts will also be shown.
Space is limited. Interested participants are urged to sign up soon for one of the two, identical 3-hour workshop sessions.
