The Oregon National Guard Youth Challenge Program (OYCP) will be hosting Candidate Orientation at the program facility in Bend, Oregon. All applicants are referred to as Candidates until they have passed the first two-week Pre Challenge Phase of the program.
The purpose of Candidate Orientation is to inform the Candidate and his/her guardians of the program. It gives the Candidate a first-hand look at the schedule, structure and discipline of the program. A tour is given and a question and answer time is provided. This process also allows the staff of the program to interact with the Candidates for purposes of selection and enrollment.
Candidate Orientation is mandatory for all those who desire to attend OYCP. Only Candidates and parents are admitted to the event. Please do not bring friends, siblings or boyfriend/girlfriends. No more than three people may attend from each party.
