Abstract	The Roadway Design Division is responsible for determining the specific location and scope of highway improvements, consistent with the recommendations of the Office of Engineering Services and the District Engineers. The division also prepares complete roadway plans for rural, urban, interstate and expressway roadways on the state highway system. The division maintains the NDOR Design Manual along with supplements and additions as well as the standard plans and special plans. The webpage has links to numerous zipped self-extracting files for microstation standards, planimetric guidelines, design process, BCAP, ROW staking, slope stake, and earthworks.
