Abstract	Floridas scenic highway program is a partnership between Florida Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, Florida citizen groups, businesses, and local governments. The Florida Scenic Highways Program seeks to preserve, maintain, protect and enhance the intrinsic resources of scenic corridors through a sustainable balance of conservation and land use. Through community-based consensus and partnerships, the program seeks to promote economic prosperity and broaden the traveler's overall recreational and educational experience. The designated routes are listed on the right hand side. Clicking on a route will bring up a general description with links for views, a route map, activities along the route, travel resources, tour directions, and the corridor management plan. The site also offers information on how groups and communities can nominate local highways for scenic designation, further information and references on scenic highway programs, and current news regarding the program.
