Abstract	Report presents the findings of a study to inventory the intercity bus industry in Pennsylvania. Objectives were to assemble information about the intercity bus industry in Pennsylvania in a form that can be used for policy formulation and for management by PaDOT; identify industry trends that may have a negative impact on the quality and quantity of intercity bus service available to Pennsylvania residents; analyze the impacts of the Bus Regulatory Reform Act of 1982 on the Pennsylvania intercity bus industry; and identify state-related policy issues that affect the intercity bus industry. Data were derived primarily from a survey questionnaire sent to 94 carriers; carrier financial data taken from the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission; carrier annual reports filed with the PUC; U. S. Census data for communities served and Russell's Official National Motor Coach Guide.
