Abstract The Great Lakes Saint Lawrence Seaway System collects annual maritime shipping data for two passages of the Saint Lawrence Seawaythe Lower Saint Lawrence River and the Welland Canal (which connects Lakes Erie and Ontario). Cargo tonnage is available for the following commodities: iron ore, coal, grain, and other cargo.
