Submit Data
If you are an investigator with data related to the Earth's frozen regions and their role in global climate, you might consider submitting your data to NSIDC.
By sharing your data, you will:
- secure your work
- further scientific research
- make your data available to your peers and colleagues
- add to the referenced body of scientific knowledge.
As a supporter of the International Council for Science (ICSU), NSIDC is committed to encouraging freedom of movement, association, expression and communication for scientists, as well as equitable access to data, information and research materials.
To this end, we fully credit all data contributors in documentation, metadata, and references, and we encourage data users to formally cite our contributors. We are also willing to hold or restrict data distribution, as appropriate, to address ethical or proprietary considerations, or to provide a brief embargo period of exclusive use.
How to Submit Your Data
The method for submitting your data varies slightly from program to program. For instructions and/or submission forms specific to your data, please choose the most appropriate project and corresponding submission method from the following table.
If none of the projects in the table seem appropriate, it still may be possible to archive your data with NSIDC provided appropriate funding can be identified. Please complete our general Contributing Your Data to NSIDC form to initiate a discussion of the content, form, and size of the data set you would like to contribute.
For assistance or questions, please contact NSIDC User Services.
