Transportation Commission to meet May 13 in Salem

The Oregon Transportation Commission will meet at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, in Room 122 of the Transportation Building, 355 Capitol St. N.E. in Salem.
 
Commissioners will hear a presentation on the project selection results from the ConnectOregon II Final Review Committee. Commissioners will also conduct a public hearing in conjunction with this item. The public hearing is scheduled to begin at 9:20 a.m.
 
The commission will hear a report on the handling of non-mandatory reports of at-risk drivers, including the criteria used to determine possible actions, who submits reports and why reports are kept confidential.
 
Other items on the Oregon Transportation Commission agenda include:
  • A request for approval of the Oregon Department of Transportation’s Agency Request Budget for the 2009-2011 biennium;
  • Amendments to the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program;
  • A presentation of the Biennial Report of the South West Area Commission on Transportation; and
  • An update on the U.S. 97: Bend North Corridor Project, and from the city of Bend on its economic development goals associated with Juniper Ridge.
 
Meetings of the Oregon Transportation Commission are open to the public. Time will be available at the meeting for commissioners to hear public comments.
