Learn about Medicare benefits and the role of volunteers who help people with Medicare.

We provide an overview of Medicare to organizations and businesses that may work with people who are Medicare-eligible or who have retirees they wish to assist with Medicare choices.

These include hospitals, clinics, school districts, county health departments, state agencies, chambers of commerce, human resource professionals, payroll professionals, senior and retiree groups, volunteer organizations and businesses.

Presentations can be made on one or both of the following topics:

Medicare 101:
  • Learn the A, B, C, and D's of Medicare. Find out when and how to enroll and gain an understanding of costs. Get information on where Medicare recipients in your community can go for help with their choices.
SHIBA Volunteering:
  • Find out what it takes to be a SHIBA volunteer and the rewards of helping people with Medicare. What skills, ability and training are needed?
