Teen (Adolescent) Immunization
Are you 11-19 years old? If so, YOU need to be vaccinated against some serious diseases! Many people think that shots are only for babies. But, in reality, there are millions of people between the ages of 11-19 who are at risk of getting serious diseases like tetanus, diphtheria, hepatitis B, chickenpox, measles and others.
All teens need the following shots if they have not already received them:
- Three doses of hepatitis B vaccine
- Two doses of a measles-containing vaccine (usually MMR)
- Age-appropriate doses of varicella (chickepox) vaccine, if they did not have the disease
- A Td booster
Are you at risk? Protecting your health is a lifelong project. Getting immunized is an adult responsibility that teens can start practicing now.
