The Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area Act created funds to provide grants and loans for economic development in the Gorge. Each state created an Investment Board to determine what projects are eligible for grants and loans. For specific information about the grant and loan program, contact:

The Commission's Role
The Columbia River Gorge Commission is responsibility in the grant and loan program is to certify that all activities undertaken with a grant or loan are consistent with the purposes of the Act, the Gorge Management Plan, and county Scenic Area land use ordinances. The Oregon Investment Board (OIB) and Washington Investment Board (WIB) assist applicants with the certification process.
