Hello and welcome to CoreFacts, where we're always short on time and big on science. I'm Dane Klima. Today we have a question concerning EARTHQUAKES!
How can I report an earthquake experience or related observation?
The Community Internet Intensity Map website has a questionnaire for recording your earthquake experiences. An intensity map is made and updated based on your answers and those of others who fill out the questionnaire.
You can report your findings on the USGS "Did You Feel It?" website at earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/dyfi.
And now you know. Join us every weekday for a new CoreFact. If you'd like to have a question featured on our show, give us an email or phone call. The email address is corefacts@usgs.gov. The phone number is 703-648-5600; and that is a long distance number, so long distance fees do apply.
CoreFacts is a product of the U.S. Geological Survey, Department of the Interior.
