Advanced materials research is being conducted to
develop improved or advanced materials for the next
generation of clean, efficient, reliable, and affordable
distributed electric energy. Research activities
focus on the advanced materials needs for industrial
gas turbines, microturbines, and reciprocating engines
as identified by panels of industry experts. The
