DAY-USE PASSES
Of the hundreds of day-use parks in the Oregon state park system, around two dozen charge a day-use fee.

To get into a park that charges a day-use fee ...

Buy a 12- or 24-month Pass
If you have a 12-month or 24-month pass, you can drive right in. You can purchase a 12-month pass for $25, or a 24-month pass for $40 from most major state park offices, over the phone by calling (800) 551-6949 (credit card orders only), or from vendors all over the state. The pass attaches to your windshield. If you have more than one vehicle, additional passes are just $5 per year for 12 months, and $10 for 24 months. You must purchase extra vehicle passes at the same time you purchase your original pass.

Go camping
If you´re camping at a state park, you don´t need a day-use pass. Just display your current state park camping receipt on your dashboard.

Buy a one-day pass
If you´re not camping and don´t have an annual pass, you need to buy a daily pass. Daily passes are $3 per day, per vehicle. You can only purchase them at a park that charges a day-use fee. Most are dispensed from cute, little yellow machines near the park entrance or parking area, but some are sold from the park booth or office.

The daily pass is good for the entire day at any state park (you can leave one day-use fee park and travel to another).

Fee waivers
Fee waivers are available for veterans with any level of service-connected disability and active military on leave. Details

Become a day-use permit agent
Ready to join the crew of businesses and organizations that sell the day-use permit? The day-use permit agent network consists of public and private sellers located around the state.
