Annual Performance Measures
The various programs of the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) can work in partnership with individuals, organizations and government entities to help identify ways to preserve and use historic sites and places.
By wisely planning for growth and change while respecting and ultimately protecting historic buildings and other important sites, state agencies, local governments and community organizations can play key leadership roles in safeguarding Oregon's cultural heritage resources.
By becoming involved in historic preservation efforts at the local level, Oregonians can gain a greater understanding and appreciation of our shared heritage in all its variations.
