The Box is a performance space primarily devoted to young performers andyoung audiences. Whilethis is our main focus, we also open our doors to other artists.The Box performance space is home to the largest improv community in Albuquerque, with improvisers of all ages including children. We hope to foster a community where people feel free to learn, explore, and create. The Box is available for auditions and holding extras.

Located in Downtown Albuquerque, The Cell Theatre hosts over 275 events each year.  Home to the FUSION Theatre Company (NM's only professional Equity theatre company), the Screen Actors Guild "Conversations" Series, the "One Night Stand" cabaret, and over 150 nights of live music each year, The Cell is also available for special event rentals.  In the past, The Cell has hosted: film screenings, film crew luncheons, musical recording sessions, wedding receptions, sales meetings, memorial services, dance troupes, etc.  Full event and production support, including catering and audio/visual, is available.

The Freedom Community is dedicated to the production of quality, thought-provoking theatre that is both entertaining and uplifting. Regular summer productions and fall workshops provide fantastic opportunities for anyone in the community to come and audition--with opportunities for musical theatre and straight theatre. Hailed by the Albuquerque Journal as a producer of "incredibly polished" theatrical shows, the Freedom Community Theatre is committed to blessing its participants (both the actors and the audience) with a fantastic rehearsal process and performance run that will inspire and stretch both theatre novices and long-time aficionados.

FUSION Theatre Company is currently New Mexico's only professional Equity theatre company. FUSION specializes in both the restaging of classic American works and in staging the work of emerging playwrights.  With national support from the Shubert Foundation, FUSION produces five mainstage productions each season, as well as a new works festival-- "The Seven", and a school tour featuring the Young Artists Exchange.  FUSION makes its home at Downtown Albuquerque's boutique theatre, The Cell.

New Mexico's only magic shop offers live magic shows in the ILLUSIONS MAGIC PARLOR, also referred to as the "IMP". The "IMP", adjacent to the Magic Juggler Shop, is the only "live" magic theater in New Mexico.  Located in the heart of the Nob Hill shopping district, The "IMP" is an ideal place to experience close-up live magic.  If you like seeing magic up close and personal, this is the place for you.  You will have the opportunity to witness magic performance of all kinds, including magic geared towards kids, families, adults, comedy, mentalism and the bizarre.  We present shows that feature
local and out-of-town magicians offering a wide variety of “live” magic.  We also use the show room for magic workshops and as a POI Studio.  Please call for details.  Schedules are not regular and the magicians and types of shows and workshops change constantly so visit website or call for updates.

This restored Historic 650-seat theatre is a vibrant part of Albuquerque's performing arts community and plays host to a wide variety of local, national and international events. Dance, drama, film, comedy, performance art, multi-media events, and other unique performances all take place on the KiMo stage. Additionally, the KiMo houses an exhibit space for contemporary visual artists and the theatre may be rented for the presentation of your performing arts event, movie screenings, business meetings and private functions.

The group performs children's musicals and plays. We are celebrating our 27th year of bringing children's theater to the community of Albuquerque. NMYA annually performs four major productions a year with an audience of 15,000. Our musical productions are performed at the KiMo Theater located at 5th and Central. We also tour throughout Central New Mexico.

A 501 (c)(3) non-profit New Mexico Corporation, is a touring theatre company dedicated to improving the education of the children in our area. ONCE UPON A THEATRE'S program brings into schools the joy, excitement, and developmental and academic stimulus of quality live theatre and assists teachers in maximizing the experience through effective teaching tools before and after performances. ONCE UPON A THEATRE'S productions include experienced paid adult actors, full costuming and detailed sets that are fully portable so they may be taken to schools and community centers throughout the Albuquerque metropolitan area and to communities within a 50 mile radius of the City. ONCE UPON A THEATRE designs two separate productions each school year. Fall Productions -- for children in kindergarten through fifth grade -- are original versions of classic fairy tales. These plays are from the award winning "Once Upon A Rhyme" children's theatre series written by ONCE UPON A THEATRE'S Executive/Artistic Director Myrna Smyer. Spring Productions -- for fourth through eighth grade students -- are original presentations or adaptations of exceptional literary works. Auditions for these productions are held in August and January.
