A staff of 80 provides expertise in matters of air and water quality, pollution prevention, rule making, environmental compliance, and hazardous waste. The division's many outreach programs range from confidential site visits to awards for innovative practices.

TCEQ Encourages Consumers to Recycle Used Electronics this Holiday Season

TCEQ Commissioners Approve Publication of New Clean Air Rules

December 13, 2006 - The TCEQ commissioners today approved publication of revisions to the State Implementation Plan (SIP) in the Texas Register followed by a public comment period on the proposed changes. The new rules revise emissions limits and controls on air emissions to improve air quality, specifically ground-level ozone, in the Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston/Galveston/Brazoria areas.

TCEQ Approves Fines Totaling $290,994

December 6, 2006 - The TCEQ today approved penalties totaling $290,994 against 68 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.

New Clean Air Rules Proposed for DFW, Houston Areas

November 21, 2006 - The TCEQ executive director today filed proposed amendments to the State Implementation Plan (SIP) clean air rules for the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and the Houston/Galveston/Brazoria (HGB) areas that would implement more stringent emissions controls and improve air quality.
