Technology Compendium - Field Operational Test

  Print this page Print

The Commercial-off-the-shelf Security Technology Compendium was created to provide interested consumers and government officials with a full listing of security technologies created for cargo protection. These technologies are all currently available. This compendium was originally developed as part of the FMCSA Field Operational Test. It was developed to provide a way for vendors who were not able to participate in the test to share their product information. Data collection was suspended in 2004 while the Field Operational Test report was finalized. Since then, more information has poured in from vendors. These online sources allow customers to view and search the list of COTS technologies by categories and product features. If you would like to be included in the Commercial-off-the-shelf Security Technology Compendium, please complete the survey.

The Emerging Technologies Compendium is a follow-up component to the 2004 FMCSA Field Operational Test. It is designed to gather publicly available, forward-looking information on emerging technologies for general use ONLY. If you would like to be included in the Emerging Technologies Compendium, please complete the survey.

Disclaimer: Companies should not provide any confidential and/or proprietary information regarding their product or service that can not be distributed to the general public. The companies and/or products or services listed in this compendium are included because they have been described by the vendor as offering similar functionality to the technologies originally tested as part of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's Hazmat Safety and Security Field Operational Test. The authors and sponsors have not independently verified the accuracy of the vendor's descriptions and thus make no representations as to the functional similarity. Inclusion of specific company products or services in this Compendium is not, and should not be construed as, an endorsement by the authors (or sponsors) of those products or services.
