SANYA, China (October 25, 2006) - The Commandant and Pacific Area Commander traveled to Sanya, China the end of October to participate in the 7th North Pacific Coast Guard Summit.  China's Ministry of Public Security sponsored the Summit and delegations from the United States Canada, Japan, Korea, and Russia also attended.  The event was an opportunity to enhance North Pacific Rim nation cooperation on a variety of missions, and to plan combined international operations.
