Gregg Wegner - 10 Years of Service Award
The National Weather Service (NWS) recently honored Gregg Wegner, cooperative weather observer, with a 10 year Length of Service Award.
Mr. Wegner has routinely recorded and reported the daily amounts of precipitation from official NWS equipment located at Brazil, IN since January 2, 1992. A cooperative weather station was first established at Brazil on July 1, 1941 through an agreement with the City Water Works. The station remained in operation at either the Water Works or the City Sewage Plant until early 1978 when it was moved to the office of the Soil Conservation Service. The NWS applauds the efforts of Mr. Wegner and looks forward to many more years of faithful service. |
