Floriculture & Nursery

Floriculture is the cultivation of ornamental and flowering plants. The U.S. floral industry engages produces floriculture crops on a commercial scale and sells them for garden, patio, or indoor use. Nursery crops, as distinguished from floriculture crops, are woody perennial plants, such as ornamental trees, shrubs, and vines that are primarily used for landscaping. Together, floriculture and nursery crops comprise the ornamental horticulture industry.

Floriculture and Nursery Crops Yearbook Tables—Historical data on floriculture and nursery crop sales, number of growers, imports, exports, and consumption. For floriculture crops, tables included quantity sold, value of sales, wholesale prices, consumption per U.S. household, and import share of consumption.
