MS IV Elective Information
A wide array of electives and subinternships are available in the Department of
Anesthesiology. Refer initially to the USUHS Fourth Year Clerkship catalogue. It is
frequently possible to arrange for rotations that are not in the catalogue, but this
should be done well in advance and in coordination with the chair of the USUHS
department in order to assure that a grade is received. Students who have an
interest in training in Anesthesiology are encouraged to contact departmental
staff during third year or as early as possible in the fourth year to discuss
scheduling electives as well as to coordinate the application process. The
department offices can be reached at (301) 295-3140 (c) or 295-3140 (DSN).
