Graduate Programs

The majority of Anatomy, Physiology and Genetics Faculty have secondary appointments in one or more of the University's Multidisciplinary Graduate Programs. These appointments allow the Anatomy, Physiology & Genetics faculty to serve as dissertation advisors, student advisory committee chairs and members as well as mentor students enrolled in these and other programs. The link above contains general information about the University's graduate programs and downloadable application forms. Briefly, there is no application fee. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a strong background is science is recommended. Students are expected to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and have their scores forwarded to the University at the time of application. Letters of recommendation from 3 people who are familiar with the applicant's academic work are required. Applications are accepted throughout the year. Applicants are accepted as full-time students only. Stipends are available on a competitive basis. There are no fees or tuition requirements for study at USUHS and civilian students incur no obligation to the United States Government for service after completion of their graduate program.
