Partnerships Build, Rebuild Historic Sites
(September 2008)–Partnerships were the cornerstone of the first U.S.Forest Service campground in the United States, and the Pike–San Isabel National Forests and Cimarron–Comanche National Grasslands San Carlos Ranger District is using partnerships to rebuild several historically important sites four miles from Beulah, Colorado.

Memorial Grove Event a Timeless Tradition
(May 2008)–On May 3, the Rocky Mountain Region celebrated the lives of nearly 30 former
Region 2 employees who passed away in 2007 at a ceremony at the Monument Fire
Center near Monument, Colorado. The Memorial Grove annual event included placing
the 2007 plaque and planting a tree in memory of those named.
