Partnerships Build, Rebuild Historic Sites
(September 2008)–Partnerships were the cornerstone of the first U.S.Forest Service campground in the United States, and the Pike–San Isabel National Forests and Cimarron–Comanche National Grasslands San Carlos Ranger District is using partnerships to rebuild several historically important sites four miles from Beulah, Colorado.

(June 2008)–This fire season the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland (Colorado) is hosting an AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) wildland fire team for the first time.

Rocky Mountain Region´s Memorial Grove Event a Timeless Tradition
(May 2008)–On May 3, the Rocky Mountain Region celebrated the lives of nearly 30 former Region 2 employees who passed away in 2007 at a ceremony at the Monument Fire Center near Monument, Colorado. The Memorial Grove annual event included placing the 2007 plaque and planting a tree in memory of those named.
