The comment period on the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail proposed directive closed for public comment on October 12, 2007.

The U.S. Forest Service received over 8,000 formal comments. We are now reading and evaluating the information received with this task expected to be completed this winter. Responses to the comments will be drafted and a final directive developed and published in the Federal Register.

The U.S. Forest Service appreciates the involvement of those interested in the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail in helping to shape its future.

A copy of the proposed directive and a printable location map can be viewed and downloaded from this website.
