A leading oil and gas industry event in Latin America, Rio Oil & Gas Expo and Conference, takes place at Riocentro Convention Center in Rio de Janeiro every two years.

The 2008 edition of the Rio Oil & Gas Expo and Conference will use to advantage the potential of Riocentro Convention Centre. The exhibition will take place in a 30,500 square meter area, confirming its position among the most important oil & gas events in the world.

Since its first edition in 1982, both the exhibition and the conference have contributed to build up Rio de Janeiro's reputation of being the "Brazilian oil capital". In fact, Rio de Janeiro State concentrates 80% of the oil produced in the country, along with 50% of the total gas production.
