Oregon E-CyclesWhat is Oregon E-Cycles?Oregon E-Cycles (formerly known as Oregon's Electronics Recycling Program, or "E-Waste") is a new program, financed by manufacturers, that provides responsible recycling of computers, monitors and televisions. Beginning January 1, 2009; households, small businesses and nonprofits, and anyone with seven or fewer items, may recycle their electronics at no charge at participating collection services and sites. Who can use the program?Households, small businesses and nonprofits with 10 or fewer employees and anyone with seven or fewer items can recycle their computers, monitors and televisions for free.Where can I recycle my electronics?Oregon E-Cycles will be in operation after January 1, 2009. Collection services will be available in every county and at least one collection site will be available in every city with a population of 10,000 or more. Check this Web site after January 1, 2009, for a list of participating collection services and sites near you.If you would like to recycle your electronics before January 1, 2009, there may currently be options available in your area. However, a fee may be required. To locate a recycler near you, see DEQ’s list of Computer and Electronic Equipment Recyclers.
