Oregon National Guard supporting state of emergency due to storm
 
The Oregon National Guard opened it doors to evacuees displaced due to the rising waters and extreme conditions along the Oregon coast yesterday. The Camp Rilea Training site located in Warrenton has offered shelter to area residents. There are 11,000 beds available at the training site. Camp Rilea is equipped with emergency power generation systems.

Below is a listing of our missions supporting the state of emergency:

Truck transport of Red Cross Relief supplies in Columbia County; transport of the 125th Special Tactics Squadron and equipment to Vernonia where they are using zodiacs to effect the rescue and evacuation of citizens in the flood areas; trucks and HMMWV support to civilian authorities in Yamhill County; MRE (military meals ready to eat send to the Presbyterian Church in Cannon Beach to aid evacuees; prepositioned one helicopter to Clatsop County for relief efforts and power generation equipment is being sent to Vernonia today.
