| HB3622 - OD permit violations |
|
Amends ORS 818.340 to make it a Class A traffic violation to violate provisions of an over-dimension variance permit related to the required number of pilot vehicles or routing. Other violations of the permit, other than weight violations, would be a Class D violation.
Amends ORS 811.717 to clarify a driver's responsibilities after a minor, non-injury crash. The violation related to removing a vehicle from the roadway is modified so it applies to "roadways" rather than "highways," applies when no person suffered an apparent injury rather than just when the driver is uninjured, and applies when the driver doesn't move the vehicle to a safe location off the roadway closest to the accident scene rather than a designated parking area.
Amended by the House Transportation Committee to amend ORS 805. 320 to remove the requirement that applications for farm vehicle registration include the township where the vehicle would be used.

February 6 - Public hearing and work session held and bill as amended passes with a "Do Pass" recommendation. Committee also rescinds the referral to Ways and Means.
