Hurricane Local Statement - describes
local conditions and the precautions which should be taken
to reduce the storm's effects. The HLS is intended to provide
information about a hurricane's anticipated effects on
the forecast area and are intended to consolidate information
from the National Hurricane Center, local Emergency Management
authorities, and local weather forecast office resources.

of significant flooding. |
| Special Marine Warning -
issued to warn mariners of short-fused, short-lived hazardous marine weather situations, with winds of 34 knots or more, either gusts or sustained, among other criteria. |
