A trough of low pressure across the Southeast states will approach northern sections of the state this afternoon. Deep moisture and onshore flow in the low levels will focus afternoon showers and thunderstorms across interior portions of East Central Florida as the east coast sea breeze moves slowly inland. Westerly mid layer steering flow bring storms back toward the east coast toward evening, especially north of Sebastian Inlet. The main thunderstorm hazards will be frequent lightning, gusty winds to 50 mph and possible small hail with the strongest storms.
