Injury Prevention Research Lab

The mission of the Injury Prevention Research Laboratory (IPRL), sponsored by the Department of Family Medicine, is to monitor the epidemiology, investigate the mechanisms, and research prevention and treatment strategies of musculoskeletal injuries in the active-duty, dependent, and retired military population and in related cohorts.
 
Additionally, the Injury Prevention Research Laboratory will support and collaborate with related academic endeavors in the School of Medicine and the Department of Family Medicine. These include collaboration with the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship; the Primary care Evaluation and Research Learning (PEARL) Consortium, a Practice-Based Research Network; and the Human Performance Optimization Project.
