Preliminary Local Storm Data Reports
The following are links to archived preliminary, uncertified
local storm data reports (in PDF format) for Southeast Louisiana
and South Mississippi from the NWS
New Orleans/Baton Rouge Office. Storm Data is intended to document
storms and their impacts as completely as possible within the constraints
of time and resources. A variety of sources are used to collect
information on the storm such as newspaper clippings, media reports,
eyewitness reports, radar data, storm surveys, and storm spotter
reports from amateur radio operators, law enforcement agencies,
and emergency management organizations. However, due to the difficulties
associated with the collection of this type of information, it is
not all-inclusive. Preliminary Storm Data is typically posted 60
to 90 days after the last day of the month. For official,
certified reports, please refer to Storm Data, published
by the National Climatic Data
Center.
