Whether you need space for one person, ten or twenty, the USDA Telework Center at the George Washington Carver Center, 5601 Sunnyside Avenue, Beltsville, Maryland, may be your answer.

The center includes workstations (with computers) for individuals for one day a week or more, or work space to plug in their laptop. And, if a meeting comes up unexpectedly at the DC Headquarters Complex you can catch the shuttle bus to the Greenbelt Metro Station.

The center consists of two rooms, one room has 14 workstations with computers and three stations available for people who have laptops. Part of the center is set up for use by short term (90 days or less) Task Groups or special project groups. The Task/Telework Room offers a private office, 1 secretarial station, 10 workstations with computers and two workstations for persons with laptops. This room also has a separate Savin 9920DP, which is a combination fax machine, copier and printer.

The center, with a capacity to house 32 people, is available for use by all Federal Department's employees and contractors in participating agencies, whether they live and work in the Washington-Metropolitan area or are on travel and need a workstation with a computer or a place to plug in their laptop. There is no charge for use of the facility by USDA/DA personnel at this time. There is a charge for use by others.

Besides providing regular workstations, two of the workstations in the center are set up with features for physically challenged employees, including JAWS (Jet Access with Speech )and zoom text. A keyboard with braille will also soon be available at one of the stations.
