Education and Training Center/InternationalTraining seminar in Sudan to help participants develop conflict analysis, negotiation, and cross-cultural communication skills. The mission of ETC/I is to (1) help international practitioners improve the skills required to manage conflict in all its phases, from prevention to post-conflict peacebuilding; and (2) promote peace by working through educational systems in fragile states and societies emerging from conflict. Audiences served include local citizens working to build peace in zones of conflict, as well as international third parties seeking to assist such efforts. We integrate our online courses with our onsite seminars and workshops to help practitioners and educators develop and improve their conflict management skills. The program staff, headed by Mike Lekson, uses highly interactive methods that draw on the professional and personal experience of the participants themselves. Highlights
