Regional Examination Center
Seattle WA
The Regional Examination Center (REC) provides services pertaining to the evaluation, testing and issuance of either a License, Merchant Marine Document (MMD), Certificate of Registry (COR), or international certificate required by crewmembers serving aboard U. S. commercial vessels. The REC is also charged with regulatory oversight of maritime schools and institutions who offer approved training leading to issuance of the above instruments.

Business Hours Monday - Thursday 7:30 - 11:30 am 12:30 - 3:00 pm |
1. Applicants for Merchant Mariners Documents and Licenses will be accepted between 7:45 - 11:00 am and 12:30 - 3:00 pm.
2. The Examination room will be open for approved applicants to start examinations between 07:30 - 11:00 AM and 11:30 - 3:00 PM.
