The King County Marine and Sediment Assessment Group monitors the water and sediment quality of Puget Sound within King County in order to protect and preserve the unique, productive, and diverse marine environment found here.

Currently, our monitoring programs consist of offshore water quality, beach water quality, intertidal sediment, algae, and clam monitoring.

In addition to the ongoing monitoring programs, the Marine and Sediment Assessment Group is involved in several other projects. Explore our Web site to learn more about what we do.
