In June, 1972 the library moved to 1025 Broadway SE, where it has served the neighboring residential areas of South Broadway, East San Jose, Hunting-Highland, Martinez town, Kirkland, and Barelas. In 1994 a Long anticipated new South Broadway Cultural center building was completed on the same site. The 23,000 square foot space comprises a 310 seat theater, an art gallery, a dividable multipurpose space, and a 10,000 square foot library.
