Because employees are King County’s most valuable resource, the county provides and important program to help you resolve workplace issues and concerns:

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

The EAP is provided by the county as a FREE service to all county employees, regardless of benefit eligibility or career status. EAP offers services to employees and managers. They will talk to you about the problem and help you find a solution.

All information discussed with and EAP counselor is confidential and cannot be disclosed without your permission or as required by law or county policy.

King County’s Making Life Easier Program:

  • Free, confidential assistance for resolving home and life issues
  • Available to benefit-eligible King County employees, their families, and anyone living in an employee's household
  • Counseling, financial, legal, child care, adult/elder care, and home ownership services
