The weblinks page includes Internet links to federal and state climate agencies including the Climate Prediction Center (CPC), the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC), regional climate centers including the Southern Regional Climate Center, the Oklahoma Climatological Survey (OCS), and Texas State Climatologist.
The climate products page includes links to climate-related products issued by the NWS Norman office including daily and monthly climate summaries for selected sites, regional daily climate summaries, record event reports, and public information statements.
The daily/monthly data page contains daily/monthly summaries (F-6 Reports) for 11 ASOS sites in the NWS Norman forecast area. These sites are located at Oklahoma City, Wichita Falls, Bethany, Clinton/ Burns Flat, Frederick, Gage, Guthrie, Hobart, Lawton, Ponca City, and Stillwater. F-6 Reports for Oklahoma City and Wichita Falls are available from December 1994 through September 2008, while the other 9 sites are available from June 2001 through September 2008. Weather observations for 6-hour and 24-hour time intervals are available for the observation site at the NWS Norman office from January 2005 through September 2008.
Yearly climate graphs with plots of temprature and precpitation for selected cities are now available via the NWS Norman web site. Yearly graphs are available for Oklahoma City, OK and Wichita Falls, TX from 1999 through 2008. Yearly graphs are available for Gage, Hobart and Ponca City, OK from 2005 through 2008.
The averages and records page contains average and record temperatures and precipitation from observations taken at the Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, Texas. This section also has the point-n-click climatology web page that contains links to 30-year averages for many sites in the NWS Norman area.
The frost and freeze data web page contains frost/freeze data and links for locations in the NWS Norman area. The Oklahoma City freeze data has been compiled locally, but most of the data comes from other sources. These sources include the OCS the Southern Region Climate Center (SRCC), and the NCDC.
Sunrise/sunset and moonrise/moonset data is available for selected cities and is based on data obtained from the U.S. Naval Observatory (USNO). Sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset and twilight times for any location in the U.S. can be obtained through the USNO's Data Services page.
