 Industry asked to assess emergency preparedness
15.06.2010 | The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has contacted the Norwegian Oil Industry Association (OLF) to stress the need to assess how good the sector’s emergency preparedness principles are for halting a possible subsea blowout off Norway. The OLF has also been asked to assess existing strategies for limiting the harmful effects of a blowout until it can be halted, and to identify possible improvement requirements.

 Report: Management of major accident risk and governance
22.06.2010 | Over the last two years, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has conducted an audit of how the management in 11 different companies maintains an overview of and works to reduce the risk of major accidents. The findings from this audit activity have now been summarized in a report.
