NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PRODUCTS VIA ALASKA MARINE VHF VOICE
NOAA broadcasts offshore forecasts, nearshore forecasts and storm warnings
on marine VHF channels in the state of Alaska in addition to NOAA Weather Radio. These forecasts
are produced by Alaskan National
Weather Service Forecast Offices.
In Alaska, marine VHF is monitored during hours that NWS offices are open and
personnel available. Mariners are STRONGLY encouraged to report current weather
conditions in their operating area.
