The AERO Institute is a consortium of Federal, state and local governments, industry, and academia partners with the common goal to enhance the current Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) research, educational, and operations programs needed to enable and maintain the viability of our aerospace workforce for the 21st Century.
Focus
The AERO Institute will act as innovator, facilitator and integrator for joint NASA, University and Industry projects.

- To that end AERO will:
- Provide comprehensive technical, undergraduate and graduate education
- Conduct leading edge aerospace research
- Incubate, stimulate, and commercialize new intellectual property
- Promote aerospace science and engineering
