The Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America

The CPSC has been a contributor to the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) between the United States, Canada and Mexico. The CPSC staff participates in the Manufactured Goods & Sectoral and Regional Competitiveness Working Group through EXIP. The Commission has signed MOU’s with Canada and Mexico contributing to the Prosperity Agenda goal to “lower costs for North American businesses, producers, and consumers and maximize trade in goods and services across our borders by striving to ensure compatibility of regulations and standards and eliminating redundant testing and certification requirements.”1
